Spica - Fixed Star (Profit, Business, Good Fortune)

These talismans are some of the very best I’ve ever made. Among other excellent factors, the Moon is tightly conjoining the fixed star Spica (24 Libra 11) within one degree. For perspective, a conjunction within five degrees of a fixed star is required. A general rule of thumb is the tighter the conjunction, the better.

Spica or “the ear of grain” has been regarded throughout history as perhaps the most benefic star in the sky. According to the Quindecum Stellis, a medieval Hermetic text, a Spica talisman will “increase gold, accumulate riches, bring victory in lawsuits, and free men from evil and anguish.” Spica is one of the fifteen Behenian fixed stars which were highly regarded by occultists in the medieval Arabic and European world.

Around 127 BC, the Greek astronomer Hipparchus discovered (or possibly rediscovered) the precession of the equinox by observing Spica. He visited an Egyptian temple in Thebes which was constructed about 2,000 years before. This temple’s design was oriented to Spica's heliacal rising which is when the star is briefly visible above the eastern horizon just before sunrise. Using the temple’s orientation as a reference point, he observed that Spica had slowly moved during the 2,000 years that had passed. Long before this, Spica had been used to mark the seasons for agriculture and as an aid in navigation due to its intense brightness.

Who Is This For?

Like the 16th Lunar Mansion, Spica is ideal for anyone who owns a business or relies on sales and customers.  I have tested these talismans with two people, one with a lunar mansion talisman and the other with a Spica talisman, and both experienced an unusual and tremendous increase in business in only months. One was a small struggling business with few clients and within four months the clientele had grown to the point that offers had to be turned down.

Although some people have had considerable amounts of money inexplicably come to them with no apparent effort on their part, this is not something everyone should necessarily expect. A conventional means of obtaining income is usually needed. Astral influences require pathways to work in the world of matter in the same way that nature requires fertile ground and suitable conditions to grow abundant crops.

How They Were Made

Emeralds were engraved with the sigil of Spica, some using the version from the Quindecum Stellis and others using Agrippa's version. All were sprinkled with sage steeped in water and small amounts of sage discretely attached to the stones. They were suffumigated with frankincense incense.

Election

An incredibly fast Moon at night culminates in the Midheaven in the 16th Mansion conjoining Spica within one degree. The Moon applies to trine the benefic Jupiter in the second house of wealth/material goods and there is mutual reception by Face. The first and second house ruler Saturn is incredibly strong in Aquarius and the Moon’s sign ruler Venus is in her domicile Venus. The Moon squares the Part of Fortune which receives her in her domicile Cancer. The time window for the election was very small because I wanted Mars to be separated from the descendant by at least five degrees.
